Why Church Membership?
Attending a church long-term without becoming a member is sort of like living with someone without getting married. There may be some happiness, but you know down deep that the commitment apparently runs thin because one or both of you is unwilling to stand before a pastor and let him pronounce you "husband and wife."
So, if White Hall is the church that you believe the Lord is leading you to, then make it official. Join. In doing so, you will officially gain a new family, come under the caring oversight of the pastoral leadership, be enabled to serve others in various roles inside and outside the church, vote in business meetings, and so much more. It is our conviction that you cannot be a maturing Jesus-follower unless you become a viable part of a Bible-centered, Jesus-focused, Great Commission church.
How to Join White Hall Baptist Church's Membership
- By profession of faith to be followed by pastoral counseling and baptism.
- By promise of letter from another Baptist church of like faith and order.
- By a statement of biblical faith and baptism by immersion which proves to be satisfactory upon examination by the pastor and/or two deacons.
- By restoration after discipline upon satisfactory explanation to the church of repentance and reformation.
But before you join...
Before you purchase a car, you take it out for a drive, right? So, before you enter into a formal relationship with a church, you need to have an opportunity to find out what it believes, how it operates, what opportunities you and your family would have to grow and serve, and more.
We offer a membership class on the first Sunday of each month at 9:15 AM in our church conference room. This provides an opportunity for you to learn about White Hall and ask any questions you have as you make your decision about church membership.
If you are interested in attending one of our classes, please contact the church office or speak with the Pastor, who would be glad to provide you with the information you need.
