Missions · Reaching the World for Christ

White Hall Baptist Church is fully committed to the Great Commission given to us by our Lord. In some of Jesus' final words, He told us to be about the business of helping people come to know Him in salvation and then to help them continue to move even closer to Him in relationship and obedience.

Matthew 28:18-20 (CSB): "Jesus came near and said to them, 'All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"

This is a serious task! Where are we to put it into practice? We believe that Acts 1:8 provides the concentric circles in which we are to do missions and ministry.

Acts 1:8 (CSB): "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

That verse shows us that the first church (and all New Testament churches that follow) should begin locally and expand their influence in carrying out all aspects of the Great Commission.

At White Hall, we desire to do missions and ministry in each of the following spheres:

Our "Jerusalem" is Madison County, KY.

  • We support and serve at local ministries like God's Outreach (food pantry) and Affirm Women's Health (Christian pregnancy center). We also seek to share the Gospel with our community through our Outreach Team, Living Nativity, Vacation Bible School, and more. And we are looking for even more ways to make a positive, Gospel, local impact as the Lord points the way.

Our "Judea" is Kentucky missions beyond Madison County.

  • We recently helped flood victims in eastern Kentucky (2024-2025). We are restfully available as the Lord opens up more opportunities.

Our "Samaria" is missions in states beyond Kentucky.

  • We eventually desire to partner with a church planter as he begins the challenging but eternally rewarding work of starting a church and a Gospel witness in an area that desperately needs one.

Our "ends of the earth" are international missions.

  • We currently support a missionary in a European country.
  • Each winter, we provide "Haiti bags" of thoughtful gifts to impoverished children in Haiti who need the Gospel and so much more.
